29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):     Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    (a)  Line 1:  The Cincinnati shear, operated by foot treadle, was not adequately guarded.  The hold downs had an opening of approximately 5/8 inch to 1/2 inch in different sections of the guard.  Also, the back of the shear was not guarded.    (b)  Line 1:  Piranha ironworker, operated by one lever, had no point of operation guarding for the notcher.  The opening measured approximately 4 inches.    (c)  Line 1:  Piranha ironworker, operated by one lever, did not have the shear guarded.  The opening measured approximately 1 inch.
