In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i): The employee training did not include the methods and observations used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area: a)On or about 8/27/2012 @ Harrison Poultry Inc., 107 East Star Street, Bethlehem, GA-Employees were exposed to a mixture of a strong acid and chlorine, creating a toxic environment which resulted in upper respiratory symptoms. Employees were not aware of the methods and observations used to detect the presence of a chlorine and acid mixture, appropriate emergency procedures, and appropriate personal protective equipment. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
