29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b). Note:  If using these systems was infeasible or created a greater hazard, the employer should develop and implement a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502:    a) Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 30 feet from the rear elevation of the building while performing carpentry work from an exterior top plate without fall protection.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.502(d)(6)(i): Snap hooks were engaged directly to webbing, rope or wire rope when not designed for such connections:    a) Employees performing carpentry work from the interior of the building had snap hooks engaged directly to rope lifelines when connecting fall protection devices to building components.    b) Employees performing carpentry work from the exterior of the building had snap hooks engaged directly to rope lifelines when connecting fall protection devices to building components.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
