29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure (a) On or about 6 Sept 2012, an electrical power tap or power strip was being used in lieu of fixed wiring to provide electrical power to a refrigerador. (b) On or about 6 Sept 2012, an electrical power strip was being used in lieu of fixed wiring to provide electrical power to a microwave. Notice to Citation 001, Item 005, 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A) as required by 29 CFR 1960.8(b): The employer failed to assess the workplace hazards. The employer was cited for a violation of the same standard on 08/05/2010, Inspection # 307506386, 08/27/2010 of final order/settlement, and was abated by removing the piece of equipment from the facility.
