29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: Jobsite: Employees who were working around overhead loads were not required to wear protective helmets to protect from falling objects. On or about 27 September 2012 an employee was injured from a tree limb falling out of the claw of a Kabota excavator. The employee was hit in the head and taken to the hospital with a severe laceration.
