29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: a) On or about October 1, 2012, at the above located workplace employees were required to work in the kitchen. The kitchen's West energency exit door was locked. The employees did not have the keys, tools or special knowledge to open the exit doors and were exposed to the hazards associated with fires and smoke inhalation. Al's Steak House was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 109990, Citation Number 01, Item 1c and was affirmed as a final order on January 3, 2012 with respect to a workplace at 1990 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois.
