29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: (a) On or about October 3, 2012, and at times prior to that date, for the employee trying to locate a pipe in a trench approximately 10 feet deep, located at Duff Street and Fifth Street, Plankinton, South Dakota. Note: This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 313378846, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 20, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at Terry Avenue, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
