29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Rt 38, Lumberton Plaza: An employee installing a steep slope standing seam metal roofing on the fascia of a retail grocery store undergoing refurbishment was not provided adequate fall protection (PFAS, safety nets, guardrails, etc.) and was thus exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 20 feet from the roof's eave to the ground. Observed on or about 10/03/12.
