29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(3)(v): At the entrance to mechanical rooms/areas in which employees reasonably can be expected to enter and which contain ACM and/or PACM, the building owner shall post signs which identify the material which is present, its location, and appropriate work practices which, if followed, will ensure that ACM and/or PACM will not be disturbed. a) Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN - On or about October 3, 2012, employees were expected to enter Building 6 which contains ACM and perform work that could reasonably be expected to disturb ACM with no signs posted which identify the material which is present, its location, and/or appropriate work practices which, if followed, would ensure the ACM is not disturbed. The Department of Veterans Affairs was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(3)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 301512737, citation number 01, item number 001, and was affirmed as final order on 11-11-2011, with respect to a workplace located in Memphis, TN.
