29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a.) Tamarack Packaging Ltd., (screen cleaning area) 11124 Mercer Pike, Meadville, PA 16335, on or about October 4th, 2012, and times prior thereto: Company employees work with and around corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, ICC 924 Liquid Haze Remover. While a plumbed emergency eyewash and shower was available in an area adjacent to the screen cleaning area, the unit was not maintained in compliance with ANSI Z358.1-1998 for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment in that: 1. Weekly inspections of the equipment were not conducted. The emergency eyewash unit was not activated weekly to verify proper operation.
