Embroidery machines were not guarded at the point of operation where employees are exposed to the hazard of the stitching motion of sewing needles on the following machines:         1.  Barudan Embroidery Machine - 9 needles, 15 heads; BE NSME-ZN-15 - No light curtain or other form of guarding         2.  Barudan Embroidery Machine- 15 needles, 15 heads; BE-NSME-ZQA-15- No light curtain or other form of guarding         3.  Tajima Embroidery Machine- 9 needles, 6 heads; TME DC906- No light curtain or other form of guarding         4.  Tajima Embroidery Machine - 12 needles, 4 heads; U2439- TMFX II - C1204- Light curtain beams are not installed so that the point of operation is guarded and the safety distance is maintained         5.  Tajima Embroidery Machine - 15 needles, 2 heads; TMFX II - C1502- Light curtain beams are not installed so that the point of operation is guarded and the safety distance is maintained         6.  Tajima Embroidery Machine - 12 needles, 12 heads; TME-DC1212- Light curtains beams are not installed so that the point of operation is guarded and the safety distance is maintained         7.  Tajima Embroidery Machine - 15 needles, 8 heads; C 1508- Light curtains beams are not installed so that the point of operation is guarded and the safety distance is maintained    b.  The Amscomatic K-840 folding machine is not guarded at the in-feed inturning rollers.    *Abatement documentatiion is required per 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):     One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    The upper left safety bar device on the MHM Synchro SP 3000 screen printer #3 was inoperative, exposing operators to the potential for crushing injuries where the pallets rotate at the control panel extension.      *Abatement certification is required per 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
