29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) 28538 Dupont Blvd, Millsboro, DE - Employees observed working on a 10/12 pitch roof, approximately 10-15' above the ground, without adequate fall protection. The employees were installing shingles. This exposed the employees to injuries from fall hazards. The violation was observed on or about October 11, 2012.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access: a) 28538 Dupont Blvd, Millsboro, DE - Employees observed using 24' alumninum extension ladders that did not extend at least 3 feet. The employees used the ladders to access the roof to install shingles. This exposed the employees to potential injuries from fall hazards. The violation was observed on or about October 11, 2012.
