29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: On or about October 17, 2012, the employees working in the machine shop were not provided with facilities for quick drenching and flushing while working with agricultural lime used in the water softening process, exposing the employees to inhaltion and ingestion hazards of the corrosive material. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the employees are provided with facilities for quick drenching and flushing while working with corrosive materials.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f) (5) (i): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the identity of the hazardous chemical(s) contained therein. On or about October 17, 2012, the employer failed to properly provide labeling for all containers in the establishment, exposing employees to inhalation and absorption hazards. a) Wilt-Bilt dip tank containing kerosene in the die casting area. b) In the machine shop, an unmarked bottle containing WD-40. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each containers is properly labeled.

On or about October 17, 2012, the employer failed to properly provide labeling for all containers in the establishment, exposing employees to inhalation and absorption hazards. a) The spout-capped bottle in the machine shop containing WD-40. b) In the Die Casting area, the dip tank used to remove Die Slick from parts filled with kereosene, was not marked with the content or warning label. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each containers is properly labeled.
