29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level. On or about October 19, 2012, the employer did not determine that the employees working with the solder flux containing lead were not at or above the exposure level for lead. Employees are exposed to the inhalation hazards from lead. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to determine that the employees are not at or above the lead exposure level.

29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead. On or about October 19, 2012, the employer did not ensure the areas where the employees work are kept free of lead. Employee chairs, tables, and hands had lead present, exposing the employees to inhalation, ingestion and absorption hazards from lead. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure the employees are not exposed to lead in the workplace.
