The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated a) On or about 10/26/12, on the south side of building under renovation at 201 W. Huron St.,Buffalo, NY: Three employees were exposed to potential fall of approx. 20 ft. while doing masonry pointing work from the elevated "basket" of an "Admar, JLG 460 SJ" aerial lift. Two of the employees were wearing a full body harness, and the third employee was not wearing a body harness or belt. None of the employees was tethered to the basket. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(vi): Boom and basket load limits specified by the manufacturer were exceeded: a) On or about 10/26/12, on the south side of building under renovation at 201 W. Huron St.,Buffalo, NY: Three employees were exposed to potential fall of approx. 20 ft. while doing masonry pointing work from the elevated "basket" of an "Admar, JLG 460 SJ" aerial lift. The combined weight of the employees, body harnesses, retractable lifelines & hardware, tools, equipment & mortar was approx. 568 lbs. The manufacturer's load limit for the lift basket was 500 pounds. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
