29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1):     Every open-sided floor or platform 4 feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level shall be guarded by a standard railing (or the equivalent as specified in paragraph (e)(3) of this section) on all open sides except where there is entrance to a ramp, stairway, or fixed ladder. The railing shall be provided with a toeboard wherever, beneath the open sides,    The employer is failing to protect employees from potential fall hazards associated with using the unprotected space above the office area as storage.  This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 1401 Logan St. Norfolk, NE 68701, where the employer has employees exposed to a 9'6" fall hazard as they are storing the aerators they manufacture on the space above the offices and there are no forms of fall protection to prevent an employee walking up there from falling to the production floor below.

29 CFR 1910.107(f)(1):     Sprinkler heads protecting spray paint booths shall be kept as free from deposits as practical by cleaning daily if necessary:    The employer is failing to protect employees from potential fire hazards associated with unserviceable fire sprinkler heads in the paint booth.  This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 1401 Logan St. Norfolk, NE 68701, where the employer has employees spraying paint onto components of their product using a 9x66 paint booth protected against fire hazards by a permanently installed sprinkler system where the sprinkler heads have had excessive spray build up to the extent that questions their function ability and have not been cleaned in over six months.

This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 1401 Logan St. Norfolk, NE 68701, where the employer has employees who voluntarily use respirators in the powder coat operation without having developed a written program to outline the parameters of the respirators use.

29 CFR 1910.178(f)(2):     The storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas fuel shall be in accordance with NFPA Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA No. 58-1969), which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6.    The employer is failing to protect employees from potential explosion hazards associated with the improper storage of liquid petroleum gas (propane) tanks.  This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 1401 Logan St. Norfolk, NE 68701, where the employer is storing four propane tanks inside the building, directly next to the loading dock door where they have employees operating Caterpillar forklifts used to load product on to delivery trucks.

This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 1401 Logan St. Norfolk, NE 68701, where the employer has employees using the microwave and small refrigerator receiving 110v power through an electrical box originally designed for permanent wall mounting; the employer has fabricated it as a substitute for a portable power tap for which it was not designed to be used and creates potential electrical shock hazards as it is left unsecured on the table.
