Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. At the construction site located at 15 West Main Street, McConnelsville, Ohio employees were performing roofing related activities approximately 32 feet in height from ground to eve, with a 7 in 12 pitch (horizontal to vertical) without any form of conventional fall protection.
