THE USPS WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 315718205, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 2A, ISSUED ON AUGUST 22, 2011, AND CONFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 24551 DEL PRADO, DANA POINT, CA 92629.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: Tour 2: On or about November 23, 2012, and at times prior thereto, employees were using the Big Joe electric pallet jack, serial number 362484, with the lack of strain relief. The cord is for charging purposes and this condition directs pull to the defective area when being handled or unplugged.
