29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment.      On or about December 19, 2012 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure employees wore safety glasses when performing maintenance activities.  Employees were exposed to eye injuries from:      a)  Mechanics working underneath the trucks carriages were being exposed to dirt, grease, tools, and other debris.     b)  Mechanics working on trucks, pumps or engines were being exposed to chemicals such as oils, lubricants, anti-freeze and brake fluid which could result in splashes or spills.
