OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. On or about December 23, 2012, and at times prior there to, employees were exposed to a struck-by hazards at Rig 415 when the hanger/harpoon detached from the crown and plummeted to the base of the rig while preparing the rig to be "rigged down". The hanger/harpoon assembly was not attached to the crown by the manufactures required safety cable.
