Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about November 1, 2012, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry operations from the roof were exposed to falls, of twenty-two (22) feet two (2) inches, created by the presence of unprotected sides. THE ALL STAR ROOFING, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(10), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 625258, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 23, 2012, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 4311 S HARLEM AVE, STICKNEY, IL 60402.
