29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Worksite located at 10240 Deer Park Road, Waverly, NE; Maintenance Shop: Two Bridgeport milling machines (serial numbers 70358 and J-51546) are being used without guarding. These machines are required to have guarding to prevent accidental contact with the rotating chuck and bit. Abatement certification is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
