29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At 3050 N. St. Francis St, Wichita, KS, the employer did not ensure machinery was provided point of operation guarding, exposing employees to hazards associated with rotating parts, such as lacerations in the following instances: 1) In the shop, the Acer Drill Press was not equipped with a chip guard. 2) In the Tool Room, the Harrison 350 Lathe had not point of operations guard over the cutting area.
