29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. Hydraulic Shop: On or about 8 January 2013 and times prior thereto, the air nozzle did not have an air deflector was not equipped with deflector to reduce the pressure of air flow. This exposed employees to air embolism/laceration hazards if they contacted the discharge to their skin.

29 CFR 1910.94(a)(5)(v): Operators shall be equipped with heavy canvas or leather gloves and aprons or equivalent protection to protect them from the impact of abrasives. Safety shoes shall be worn to protect against foot injury where heavy pieces of work are handled. Structural Maintenance Shop: On or about 8 January 2013 and times prior thereto, the two sandblasting machine protective glove inserts not fully enclosed. This condition exposed employees to abrasive blasting material such as silica sand.
