29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): Employee(s) were exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period: The employer does not protect employees when lead (Pb) exposures equal or exceed an 8 hour time weighted average of fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air. This violation was observed on or about January 15, 2013, at the Outlet Indoor Shooting Range where employees were exposed to a lead hazard when using lead ammo without controls in place. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees who are exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air average over an eight-hour period implementing engineering and administrative controls.

29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: The employer does not ensure all surfaces free as practicable of lead during employee weapon qualifications. This violation was observed on or about October 15, 2013, at the Sportsman's Outlet Indoor Shooting Range where employees were exposed to a lead hazard when using lead ammunition without maintaining surfaces from accumulation of lead. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all surfaces are maintained as free as practicable of accumulation of lead.
