29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: (i) When PPE is necessary; (ii) What PPE is necessary; (iii) How to properly don, doff, adjust, and wear PPE; (iv) The limitations of the PPE; and (v) The proper care, maintenance, useful life and disposal of the PPE. a. Assembly and Finishing areas - On or about January 23, 2013, employees were required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves and respirators/dust masks while manufacturing wooden products. The employer had not conducted training for all employees, including temporary employees.

Finishing Department/Sanding Area - On or about January 23, 2013, the employer had selected a non NIOSH (National Institute of Safety and Health) certified respirator for employees performing wood sanding operations. Employees were thereby exposed to health hazards.
