OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards:   (a) On or about 1/18/2013 - in Bay 3, on crane #1 (the 5-ton crane identified as item #6 on the Overhead Crane Inspection & Preventive Maintenance Report), the latch on the self-closing hook was inoperative and would not close the hook's throat.   (b) On or about 1/18/2013 - in Bay 3, on crane #2 (the 5-ton crane identified as item #5 on the Overhead Crane Inspection & Preventive Maintenance Report), the latch on the self-closing hook was inoperative and would not close the hook's throat.
