29 CFR 1910.176(b): Storage of material created a hazard (e.g., by sliding or collapsing): Storage/Shipping area in the facility The employer is failing to ensure that the storage racks in this facility are secure. A storage rack, storing pallets of cardboard boxes and office equipment, had a leg that was bent by a forklift. The bend in the metal leg affects the structural stability of the rack system as a whole. Employees are exposed to struck-by hazards including, but not limited to, material falling from racks due to failure of the metal leg due to the damage of the leg.
