Abatement for this item was due 4/22/2013.   Employer received citations on 5/8/2013.  Violation occurred on or about 4/22/2013.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    194 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ    a)  Workers were not provided with fall protection when performing carpentry construction on a one story frame structure and exposed to fall hazards of approximately 9 feet to grade.    b)  An employee was not provided with fall protection when performing carpentry construction on a one story frame structure above a floor hole with a fall of approximately 21 feet to the basement below.     Violation observed on or about 1-18-13
