29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    (a)  UCon Area: Employees were exposed to the drill press which did not have an adjustable guard to cover the unused portion of the bit and chuck above the material being worked.    (b)  Assembly Area:  The Sears/Craftsman Industrial Rated Drill Press did not have an adjustable guard to cover the unused portion of the bit and chuck above the material being worked.    (c) Filter Area:  Machine # 1 did not have a guard for the fan.

At the plug-in there was not adequate strain relief as the outer insulation had pulled back exposing interior wiring where the plug-in joined the cord.     (b) Maintenance Area: There was not adequate strain relief for the Thermal Dynamics welder at the rear of the welder where the power cord attached to the welder as the outer insulation had pulled back exposing interior wiring.
