29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about 02/07/2013, at the job site - employees installing floor joist from the top of the wood wall frame of a new construction were not protected from a fall hazard, in that, the use of fall protection equipment was not required, exposing the employees to a 9 feet 10 inches fall hazard.
