29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Location: Machine #9 Area, 30 Lenox Street, New Haven, CT 06513 The ingoing nip point created between the 5 1/2 inch diameter, 66 inch long steel teflon coated roller and the 7 inch diameter, 66 inch long neoprene coated steel roller on the Corona Designs Incorporated Treater Machine was not equipped with machine guarding to protect the operator/employee(s).
