Pull-lifts shall be regularly inspected to ensure that they are safe, particular attention being given to the ratchet, pawl, chain and hooks for distortion and wear. Engine room, Starboard side passageway: On or about 16 February 2013 and times prior thereto, three Dayton hand chain hoists were missing safety latches on the hooks. This condition exposed employees to a struck by hazard.
