The TNT Metal Buildings, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 677219, citation number 1, item number 01a and was affirmed as a final order on December 28, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at 484 NW Turner Avenue, Lake City, FL 32055.    29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following:    a. On or about February 19, 2013, the employer did not develop and implement the written hazard communication program which described how requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) would be met for employees who have exposure to hazardous materials such as but not limited to NAPA cutting & grinding oil, and galvanized steel tubing.

The TNT Metal Buildings, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 677219, citation number 1, item number 01b and was affirmed as a final order on December 28, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at 484 NW Turner Avenue, Lake City, FL 32055.    29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2) and (3) on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area:    a. On or about February 9, 2013, the employer did not provide effective information and training to employees on the hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to NAPA cutting & grinding oil, and the hazards of welding galvanized steel tubing.

The TNT Metal Buildings, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.134(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 677219, citation number 2, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on December 28, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at 484 NW Turner Avenue, Lake City, FL 32055.    29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): In workplaces where respirators were necessary to protect the health of the employee or whenever respirators were required by the employer, the employer did not establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures:    a. On or about February 19, 2013, employees were required to wear a half face piece respirator while welding galvanized steel tubing in the shed frame welding area of the plant.  The employer did not establish and implement a written respiratory protection program that addressed the worksite-specific procedures such as but not limited to employee medical evaluations, fit testing, and training on the use, maintenance and care of the respirators.
