29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(C): Flexible cords were run through doorways, windows, or similar openings: a) Animal Research Building, Building 6, Room GA131, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240: Observed on or about March 7, 2013, a flexible cord (110 Volt) was strung beneath a doorway. The cord was exposed to abrasive forces created by the movement of the door. Employees working in the area were exposed to the hazard of electric shock.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not free and unobstructed. a) Exit doors near room GA140, Animal Research Building, Building 6, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240: Observed on or about March 7, 2013, an exit door was partially blocked by bags and boxes of biohazard waste stored in front of the door. Employees working in the building were exposed to a fire hazard created by the partially blocked exit route.
