29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: The employer is failing to protect employees from potential amputation hazards associated with inadequate guarding on metal fabrication equipment. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2111 J Street, Auburn, NE 68305, where the employer has employees using a vertical Morton H/V band saw in the fabrication of metal components necessary in the production of goods and repairs of the facility.
