29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):     Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    On or about 8 March 2013, three roofers were installing underlayment weatherproofing material on a second story roof of a home under construction without the use of fall protection, exposing the workers to the hazard of a fall of approximately 21 feet to the ground below.    Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure fall protection is utilized when work is at heights of 6 feet or higher.
