29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:  (a) On or about March 6, 2013, at the Economy Boat Store located at 398 W Illinois Street, Memphis, TN; fire extinguishers in the barge shop building and on barge deck were not properly mounted and accessible to employees for use.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

On or about march 6, 2013, the Economy Boat Store located at 398 W Illinois Street, Memphis, TN, failed to properly summarize the OSHA 300 Log and post a summary (OSHA 300A or equivalent) from February 1 to April 30.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i): The employer exposed employees to toxic, hazardous substances and did not compile a complete list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet.    a. On or about 03/06/2013, the Economy Boat Store located at 398 W Illinois Street, Memphis, TN, did not develop a complete inventory of hazardous materials currently being used on the dock and maintenance shop. The list did not include Honda Marine Engine Oil, Nor WECO Big Sanitizer Tablets, NalFleet Nalcoal 2000, Aquaclean, Rustoleum paints/primers, CRC Power Lube, NAPA Brake Fluid, Final Charge Global Antifreeze, Mercury Optimax/DFI Lubricant . This exposed employees to acute and chronic illness and disease.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
