29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1):  The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative:    At the time of the inspection, the employer had not established a lockout program to control the unexpected energization of sawmill eqipment such as the head saw, edger, chipper, and chain saw bundle cutter.      Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation.  The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful.  The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.

29 CFR 1910.213(g)(1):  Swing cutoff saw(s) were not provided with an automatically adjusting hood that completely enclosed the upper half of the saw, the arbor end, and the point of operation at all positions of the saw:    At the time of the inspection, two manually operated cut-off saws were used to cut cants to length without guarding the unused protion of the blade as it travelled down and through the wood exposing employees to an amputation hazard.       Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation.  The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful.  The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.

29 CFR 1910.213(d)(1):     Circular handfed crosscut table saw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut;    At the time of the inspection, The Bosch table saw in the pallet build area was not equipped with a guard to enclosed the portions of the saw blade above the table when employees were crosscutting wood pieces.      Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation.
