29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Jobsite located at 5217 N. 96th Street, Omaha, NE: Employees were observed conducting construction activities on a residential structure. The employee and owner were exposed falls of 12 feet or more without using any form of fall protection such as a personal fall arrest system or monitoring system. This item was corrected during the inspection. No additional abatement documentation is required.

29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(8): A metal spreader or locking device was not provided on each stepladder to hold the front and back sections in an open position when the ladder was being used: 1900 Riverside Blvd, Norfolk, NE: A 6 foot-self supporting ladder did not have the metal spreader or locking device engaged. The ladder was leaned against the wall so that employees could access the upper roof surface. Abatement certification is required for this violation. This item was corrected during the inspection.
