29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about March 12, 2013, the employer did not ensure that the employees performing roofing activity on the newly tiled roof of a medical complex were protected from fall hazards. Employees working on a 6 in 12 pitch roof were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet to the ground below.
