29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): No employer shall permit an employee to work in such proximity to any part of an electric power circuit that the employee could contact the electric power circuit in the course of work, unless the employee is protected against electric shock by deenergizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means. 1) On or about September 26, 2012, a foreman was working from an aeriel lift power washing brick on an existing building, having exposure to an electrical shock/electrocution hazard due to working within 3 feet of an overhead 7200V power line that was not de-energized and/or covered properly prior to work beginning.
