29 CFR 1910.101(b):  The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6:    In between Bay 1 and Bay 2, on April 1, 2013, a cylinder containing Argon was not secured.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1910.179(b)(5):  Crane(s) with more than one hoisting unit did not have the rated load marked on each hoisting unit or load block:    a)  Inside Bay 4, on April 1, 2013, the 20 ton hoist and the 15 ton on the Whiting overhead crane (unknown serial number and model number) was not labled for their capacities.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1910.179(e)(4):  Bridge truck(s) were not equipped with sweep(s) which extended below the top of the rail and projected in the front of the truck wheel:    a)  Inside the west end of Bay 2, on April 1, 2013, the overhead crane (unknown name, serial number and model number) was missing all of the rail sweeps.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.    b)  Inside the west end of Bay 3, on April 1, 2013, the overhead Shepard Niles (model number 63656, unknown serial number) was missing all of the rail sweeps.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.    c)  Inside the east end of Bay 4, on April 1, 2013, the overhead (unkown name, serial number and model number) was missing all of the rail sweeps.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1910.184(e)(1): Alloy steel sling(s) did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach:   a)  Inside Bay 2, on April 1, 2013, a 12 foot bridal set of steel alloy chains did not have an identification tag.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.   b)  Inside Bay 4, on April 1, 2013, the identification tags for the 10 foot steel alloy chains was not legible.  This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.
