29 CFR 1910.178(g)(2): Facilities shall be provided for flushing and neutralizing spilled electrolyte, for fire protection, for protecting charging apparatus from damage by trucks, and for adequate ventilation for dispersal of fumes from gassing batteries.  On or about 03/14/2013, on the northwest corner of the facility adjacent to the chemical storage room ("oil room"), the employer allowed employees to use a battery charging station with an inadequate eyewash bottle. This bottle did not meet the requirements of an eye wash station per ANSI Z358.1, in that:  a) A means shall be provided to flush both eyes simultaneously  b) Capable of delivering water to both eyes not less than 1.5 liters per minute  c) Allow eyes to be held open by hand while the system is flushing  d) and provide 15 minutes of flush water
