29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1): Employees were subjected to sound levels exceeding those listed in Table G-16 of Subpart G of 29 CFR 1910 and feasible administrative or engineering controls were not utilized to reduce sound levels: a) On or about April 9, 2013, and times prior, the employer failed to protect the hearing of an employee exposed above 90 dBA as an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA). One employee was monitored and found to be exposed to 99.2 dBA (265% dose) while operating a planner over a period of 359 minutes. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
