29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: (a) Jobsite, Laurel Highlands High School, Uniontown, PA: On or about 04/10/13 protruding reinforcing steel approximately 2 feet in length was not guarded to eliminate impalement hazards. Two employees were working in the immediate area performing welding operations and were exposed to potential impalement hazards should they fall and come in contact with the unprotected reinforcing steel.
