29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): In every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial, or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official shall be marked on plates of approved design which shall be supplied and securely affixed by the owner of the building, or his duly authorized agent, in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate. Such plates shall not be removed or defaced but, if lost, removed, or defaced, shall be replaced by the owner or his agent: Naval Support Activity Monterey - Navy Exchange - On or about April 9, 2013 and at times prior thereto, the mezzanine used for storage of merchandise including, but not limited to, appliances did not have the required notice of approved load rating. In addition, the Manager was unaware of the load limitation.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): No hazard assessment and equipment selection has been done to determine the hazards present in the workplace and the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for each hazard: a) Naval Support Activity Monterey - Herrmann Hall Dining Room - Bldg. 220 and Cafe Del Monte- Bldg. 290 - On or about April 9, 2013 and at times prior thereto, no hazard assessment listing the specific personal protective equipment was completed regarding employees working with hot vessels, ovens, detergents, clorox and degreasers. b) Naval Support Activity Monterey - Golf Course Cafe/Kitchen - On or about April 9, 2013 and at times prior thereto, a written hazard assessment stating the specific hazards present and the personal protective equipment requirements to protect employees working with hot vessels, ovens, detergents, clorox and degreasers had not been completed.
