29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use [ANSIZ358.1-2004]: a. On or about 04/17/13, at the warehouse area, at BC Supplies, Inc., St. Croix, VI. An emergency eye wash station was not provided in the immediate area when corrosive products such as Clax Super Impede (sodium hypochlorite), CCH Granular (sodium hypochlorite), HTH tablets (calcium hypochlorite), Daley Power Forward (sodium hypochlorite), Daley Swing Guard (phosphoric acid), Daley Rebound (fluorosilicic acid), and Daley Big Man detergent (sodium hydroxide) were handled by employees during storage and delivery operations. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

On or about 04/17/13, at the warehouse area, at BC Supplies, Inc., St. Croix, VI. The employer did not develop a written hazard communication program to ensure having material safety data sheets for compressed gases such as propane (LPG) when employees replaced empty tanks with full ones during Yale forklift maintenance operations. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
