29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace, including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazard(s) and an identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form: a) On or about April 25, 2013, the employer failed to evaluate the workplace near the 580 Batchline furnace for respiratory hazards after a new product was introduced into the line. Products received by an outside supplier are coated in Briner 704 Soluble Oil. Employees were exposed to increased levels of smoke and potentially ammonia, a product of thermal decomposition of the oil coating the new products. revised to: Citation 1, Item 1: a) On or about April 25, 2013, the employer did not adequately evaluate the workplace near the 580 Batchline furnace for smoke produced after a new product was introduced into the line. The new product was coated with Briner 704 Soluble Oil.
