On or about 30 April 2013, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that all places of employment were kept in a clean and orderly condition. The Wood Shop was allowed to accumulate Class II dust on horizontal surfaces such as, but not limited to, tools, machinery, rafters, walls, and the floor over a period of at least 30 days at a time, with some areas at an accumulated depth of approximately 2 to 4 inches, exposing employees to dust explosion, deflagration and fire hazards.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all places of employment are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
